Practice: Gaston Radiology (GRAD)

Location: Gastonia, North Carolina (Charlotte Metro Area)

Employment Type: Part Time - 3 Days a Week (24 hours a week) - Benefits Eligible

Gaston Radiology is adding a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to a well-established team supporting a group of radiologists across hospital and outpatient imaging locations, including our partnership with CaroMont Regional Medical Center. This isn’t a role where you’ll sit on the sidelines. You’ll independently perform a genuinely broad range of interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures in collaboration with the physician team.

•    Perform a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, including ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and CT-guided procedures, dialysis circuit thrombolysis drain placements, bariumstudies, joint injections, and superficial and deep biopsies.

•    Rotate across hospital locations and diagnostic imaging centers, working with a rotating group of radiologistsrather than being confined to one fixed team.

•    Manage medically complex patients with realdecision-making authority, from consultation through post-procedure care.

•    Interpret imaging and laboratory studies within your scope of practice.

•    Serve as a trusted clinical resource for patients, families, and staff.

•    Someone who works confidently and independently but is just as quick to step in and support a teammate withoutbeing asked.

•    A clinician who genuinely enjoys learning andexpanding their skill set, not someone looking to coast on what they alreadyknow.

•    Clear, steady communication with patients andphysicians alike, especially when a patient is anxious or a situation getscomplex.

•    Meticulous documentation habits, because inthis role, precision isn't optional.

•    Current NCCPA Certification (PA-C), activeunrestricted NC Medical Board License, active DEA License, and current BLS.

•    Direct radiology experience stronglypreferred; at minimum, two years of direct patient care, ideally in vascularsurgery, surgery, or critical care.

•    Experience with EPIC EMR, McKesson PACS, or PowerScribe is a plus.

•    Work is performed in hospital and outpatient imaging settings, including CaroMont Regional Medical Center and GastonRadiology's diagnostic imaging centers, with regular movement between procedurerooms and patient care areas.

•    Requires extended periods of standing andwalking throughout the workday.

•    Involves close, hands-on contact with patientsbefore, during, and after procedures, including positioning and assistingpatients on exam tables.

•    Requires wearing lead aprons and otherradiation safety equipment during fluoroscopic and CT-guided procedures.

•    May require lifting or assisting with patienttransfers up to 35 lbs.

•    Requires manual dexterity and steady handcontrol for performing procedures and operating imaging equipment.

•    Fast-paced clinical environment with rotatinglocations, schedules, and radiologist teams.
